Rotary Dryer
1.Description
The rotary drum dryer is one of the most traditional drying equipment types. Known for its stable operation and wide application, it is widely used in metallurgy, building materials, chemical industry, agricultural and sideline product processing and other fields.
The wet material is sent to the hopper by a belt conveyor or bucket elevator and added by the feed port. The main body of the rotary drum dryer is a cylinder with slight inclination and can rotate. Upon entering, the material is dried in direct or counter-current flow with hot air passing through the cylinder, or in effective contact with the heated wall. After drying, it is discharged from the lower end at the other side. During the process, aided by the cylinder’s slow rotation, the material moves from the higher to the lower end under gravity. The inner wall is equipped with forward lifting plates (flights) that constantly pick up and scatter the material, greatly increasing its heat contact surface.
